I honestly love coming here. The food is always super good. I get the angus strip sandwich. Everyone is friendly and you can tell that they make the food with flavor.
Came here two times with family. The food is great. The bbq chicken is always a hit. My husband loves the octopus. Skirt steak is hit or miss for me. Staff is friendly. They have an average sized dining area. It can get packed depending on when u come. Service can sometimes be slow.
Phenomenal food!! Great friendly staff very knowledgeable about their Portuguese cuisine menu. Highly recommend all of their dishes. People come from far to have lunch or dinner there. Would love to hear more Traditional Portuguese music to fully make the ambiance and food transport you to a little piece of Portugal. I recommend!!
A coworker of mine bought me lunch and she ordered from here. OH MY LORD, I ordered half a chicken with Spanish fries and sautéed vegetables it was AMAZING! I order this about once a week for lunch haha. They offer delivery as well, and the staff inside is very nice and sweet. If you've never been here and want to try n something new. I would 100% recommend this place!
I'm not sure why but I never tried Fire Pit, I've always frequented other local bbq restaurants but my boyfriend suggested it one night and I said "why not"? What a great decision because it was delicious. We snagged a table for two and service was great. Parking is a little rough in the lot but there's street parking all around. I love Picadinho but I don't eat pork so when I saw they had a chicken version - multiple actually - I ordered that right away. It was served in a traditional Portuguese clay pot bowl and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked chicken and potatoes in a decadent sauce. The flavors were absolutely there, everything seasoned to perfection and the crisp of the potatoes was just great. It comes with rice and I might order it with salad next time because it's a heavy meal. Also it feeds about 2-3 people and I ordered it for myself so I had leftovers for about two days! My boyfriend originally wanted the baby back ribs but our server said it was take around 50 minutes to make. We were on a time crunch so he got the short ribs instead but we'll definitely try the ribs on a different day with more time. The short ribs looked great and he got rice and beans with those. Absolutely delicious all around. I also loved the Portuguese olives served with the bread. This food is grilled to perfection and seasoned well. No complaints, we'll definitely be back!
Found this small joint in New Jersey, that you do not wanna miss. It's a Open-pit Portuguese Barbecue Restaurant! You can smell the delicious food grilling from blocks away. First and foremost this is the Shrimp and Garlic Sauce Appetizer....Wow what a blast of flavor you get from this dish! Don't forget to ask for some bread so you finish the shrimps you can scrape the rest of the sauce with the bread so delicious! Parmesan Garlic Fries was our delicious side dish that was a perfect fit with pretty much with anything we ordered with. Nothing could go wrong with Parmesan fries alone, now add garlic x2 even better. The Portuguese Barbecue Pork Chops were super tender, juicy and flavorful with a garlicky sauce. The garlic sauce with the taste of the meat was too delicious that it had us over eating.
I'm surprised I haven't reviewed updated this review yet! I've been eating their takeout for at least 10 years. Best pork ribs in town if you like yours to be flavorful and crispy! The sauce really takes you over the edge. Huge portions and various sides. We usually go with one combo of half chicken and ribs with yellow rice and black beans and the other is half ribs, sautéed veggies and Spanish chips! Sometimes we opt in salad or sweet potato fries! My absolute fave though are their shrimp cakes! So moist and crispy outside with a burst of flavor! Their actual online menu has many more options than DoorDash does. Highly recommend! Be insistent on sauce though on side because they often forget to put the little cups in. Bumped to 5 bc after all these years they still are my fave for ribs!
